Enermax is preparing to launch Thorex mid-tower PC case. Three variations will be released, differing by extruded side and top panels. One will come with acrylic window, other with extra two fans positions on side panel. All models have meshed front panel.
Enermax Thorex (ECA3320) mid-tower case has two 5.25" bays, three 3.5" and four 2.5" bays. All drives make use of tool-less retainers. 2.5" bay cage can be removed to allow installation of graphics cards of up to 390 mm length. With cage installed, maximum graphics card length is 314 mm at 2.5" position, and 280 mm at 3.5" cage position. There are seven PCI expansion slots. Case supports standard ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards.
Enermax Thorex dimensions are 453 x 203 x 427 mm. It has some holes for cable management. Extruded side panel should add some room for cable routing as well. Case has a large cut out on the motherboard tray, for easier CPU cooler installation. Maximum CPU cooler height varies between 165 and 179 mm, depending on side panel.
Depending on model (ECA3320(U2), ECA3320(U3) or ECA3320(2U3)), up to six fans can be installed. Two 120 mm in the front, one 120 mm in the rear (included), one 120 mm on the top and two 120 mm on the side panel. One dust filter is installed under the PSU area.
Connectivity, depending on model, is made up of either 2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0 or one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0. Audio input/audio jacks are available in all models.
Enermax Thorex's price is not yet revealed.
