AMD Radeon R9 200 series graphics cards, including R9 290X, are to be released in a matter of days and some retailers are already taking pre-orders.

First of, four R9 290X graphics adapters from MSI (model number R9 290X 4GD5), XFX (R9-290X ENFC), Sapphire (100361SR) and ASUS (X9290X-DC2T-4GD5) have appeared online at Newegg. All models are of reference design, which enforces the rumor  that AMD might restrict AIBs from releasing non-reference models, at least for some time. Prices have been removed, however, at first cards were priced at 729 USD.

ASUS Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition

Moving on, Swedish online store Webhallen.com listed ASUS Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition, which comes with Battlefield 4 Limited Edition. The card is of reference AMD design. BF4 bundle is priced at 7299 SEK. This converts to 842 EUR or 1146 USD. Final retail price of the R9 290X BF4 Edition should be much lower, as the standard R9 290X version is expected to be priced at around 600-700 USD. Additionally, there is R9 290X Battlefield 4 Edition and Battlefield 4 Premium bundle listed at the same 7299 SEK price. Overclockers.co.uk also has BF4 Edition for pre-order with 99 GBP deposit.
