Thermalright released HR-22 passive CPU cooler. Based on Thermalright's Directed Passive Airflow System design, HR-22 is one huge and, at the same time, classy looking heatsink.
Cooler has eight 6 mm sintered copper heatpipes, connecting mirror finish copper base and large cubical body made of 35 aluminum fins. Heatsink's body is shifted away diagonally away from the center for increased memory and expansion slot compatibility. All fins have numerous cuts, holes and air guides for improved passive cooling performance. Thermalright HR-22 is designed to adopt natural airflow from within the case without the need of an additional fan mounted on the heatsink. Of course, additional fan would increase performance. HR-22 has 40% more dissipation area than its predecessor HR-02.
HR-22 measures at 150 mm length, 120 mm width and 159 mm height. Heatsink weighs 1220 grams. Cooler supports Intel LGA775, LGA1150, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366, LGA2011 and AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 sockets. Price and availability has not been revealed.
