X2 Products, division of Spire, introduced a new high end CPU cooler. Eclipse IV is a completely revamped successor to the Spire Thermax (Thermax Eclipse, TME) series.

X2 Products Eclipse IV

Eclipse IV (X2-9862N1-PWM) is a large tower type cooler with six 6 mm nickel plated copper heatpipes. Heatpipes are of U shape and are positioned in a line. Heatsink makes use of asymmetrical design for improved tall RAM heatspreader compatibility. Cooler's body is thick and dense, made of 45 aluminum fins and has a gap in the middle, making it sort of a dual tower cooler. Eclipse IV looks quite similar to Prolimatech Megahalems, however, it boasts unique design fins dented along the edges and has open sides. Cooler's base is made of nickel plated copper. Heatsink measures at 153 x 131 x 71 mm (height x length x width). Cooler weighs 996 grams. Whole heatsink is anodized and nickel plated.
