MSI launched its Radeon HD 7730 graphics cards, based on AMD Cape Verde GPU. Both DDR3 and GDDR5 versions are available.
Radeon HD 7730 cards have 384 Stream processors available, memory is connected via 128-bit bus. MSI launched both DDR3 (model R7730-1GD3/LP) and GDDR5 (model R7730-1GD5V1) versions. Both models have only 1GB of memory, which is good, since 2GB DDR3 memory is a waste. GPUs of both models are running at stock 800 MHz clock.
Unfortunately, only DDR3 version is Low Profile while GDDR5 model is still full height. DDR3 memory runs at 1600 MHz clock. GDDR5 model offers around 80% higher bandwidth, at 4500 MHz effective clock.
Connectivity for R7730-1GD5V1 is DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI. R7730-1GD3/LP retains DVI and HDMI ports, but has a D-Sub port instead of DisplayPort.
