AMD partner Sapphire Technology launched an addition to mainstream Radeon HD 7700 graphics card series, the HD 7730. It is based on AMD's GCN architecture and Cape Verde GPU. Sapphire launched two HD 7730 models.

Sapphire Radeon HD 7730

AMD Radeon HD 7730 is built on a cut down version of Cape Verde graphics processing unit (GPU). Cape Verde variant used in HD 7730 has only 6 out of 10 clusters enabled, which translates into 384 Stream processors as opposed to 640 in fully unlocked unit. Core runs at 800 MHz clock. Memory is connected to GPU via 128-bit bus.

Sapphire's two versions differ by type and amount of memory. HD 7730 2GB version has DDR3 memory running at 1800 MHz effective clock, while HD 7730 1GB variant has much faster GDDR5 memory with an effective clock of 4500 MHz.

Connectivity on both models consists of DVI, HDMI and VGA. Multi-display option for up to two displays is supported.

HD 7730 models support UEFI Fast Boot feature for enhanced boot times, PCI-E 3.0-based bridge-less CrossFireX for improved performance, APP Acceleration and AMD PowerPlay Power management features.
