Japanese cooling experts Scythe announced Ashura Shadow Edition tower CPU cooler. It is based on the same design as standard Scythe Ashura model, but comes with dark nickel plating on all heatsink body.

Ashura Shadow Edition has six 6 mm black nickel-plated copper heat pipes, nickel-plated aluminum fin body and a fairly thick nickel-plated copper base. Aluminum fin array is placed asymmetrically, to the side from the center to improve compatibility with tall memory heatspreaders. Heatsink measures 145 mm width, 161 mm height, 61 mm depth and weighs 750 g.

Scythe Ashura Shadow Edition comes equipped with single GlideStream 140 (Falcon 140) PWM fan which spins at between 500 and 1300 RPM. Maximum noise and airflow are rated at 30.7 dBA and 97.18 CFM, respectively. Clips for second optional fan are included.

Ashura Shadow Edition uses H.M.P.S. (High Precision Mounting System) mounting system and supports Intel LGA 775/1366/1155/1156/1150/2011, AMD AM2/AM2 + / AM3/AM3 + / FM1/FM2 sockets.
