Scythe released Kotetsu mainstream CPU cooler in Japan. It's a tower type cooler with alternating aluminum fin array, four 8 mm heatpipes passing through the array and nickel plated pure copper base. It bears a black top fin bolted to the heatsink, similar to that of Scythe Ashura.
Scythe Kotetsu measures at 130 x 58 x 160 mm and weighs 480 grams. Cooler is equipped with single Falcon 120 PWM fan spinning at 400-1400 RPM. It is rated at a maxium of 79 CFM airflow and 28 dBA noise. Installation of second fan is supported.
Cooler supports all modern Intel (LGA2011, LGA1150, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA775) and AMD (AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2, FM2+) sockets.
Scythe Kotetsu (SCKTT-1000) is currently priced at 3480 JPY in Japan, which converts into around 35 USD. When and whether the cooler will arrive in US and EU markets is unknown, but this will most likely happen in the following months.
