Following recent entrance into PC power supply unit market with Quanta DQ750 unit, Deepcool now expands its power supply line with Nova DN400 and Aurora DA500 budget units.
Nova series DN400 unit comes in 400W capacity with single +12V rail delivering up to 336W (18A; 84% of total capacity) power output. PSU is rated to deliver 400W at up to 40°C temperature. It is a very basic unit with all fixed cables and just 80% efficiency under typical loads. Power supply is cooled by thermally-controlled 120 mm fan with blue LED lightning. Nova DN400 seems to be manufactured by Channel Well Technology (CWT). Protections include OVP (overvoltage), SCP (short circuit) and OPP (over power).
Aurora DA500 is another new unit coming in 500W capacity and featuring 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency rating, offering 82-85-82% efficiency at 20-50-100% loads. Aside from higher capacity and efficiency, DA500 features more protection measures, including OCP (over current), OVP, UVP (undervoltage), SCP, OPP, OTP (over temperature). Unit has two 6+2-pin PCI-E power connectors. Like DQ750 and DN400, DA500 is manufactured by CWT.
