Installation
Scythe Ashura uses a fairly traditional mounting with side brackets. First, put the backplate behind motherboard. Then screw 4 nuts with washers underneath them. On top of them put brackets. Note, Ashura can be mounted both vertically and horizontally. And horizontal mounting is required for LGA 775 systems. Moving on, secure brackets with 4 screws.
Finally, position the cooler with holding bar across it and screw it to the brackets. The installation was overall simple. The only problem was compatibility with my compact SilverStone Redline RL01 case. In the picture below we can clearly see that Ashura is ramming the top part of the case. That said, make sure your case is big enough for Ashura.
Fan installation requires quite a bit of power to be used, because of very rigid fan clips. With fan installed I'd say Ashura has no compatibility issues with tall RAM heatsinks. It might touch them on the side, though.
