Noise Levels
We now test cooler's noise level with a digital sound level meter. It is positioned above the case with all case's panels closed. Case fans are running at low speed. Overall ambient and PC sound without CPU cooler fan does not exceed 35 dBA. The following sound level test does not comply with any standards and the results are meant for comparing different coolers. In essence, results are relative rather than absolute.
In terms of noise Deepcool Frostwin V2.0 performs slightly worse than Neptwin, but still remains 3 dBA more silent than Scythe Ashura and SilverStone Argon AR01. It's not a bad result, but ideally still could be quieter, at least on par with Neptwin or Ice Blade Pro V2.0.
